Meet the 2026 Executive Team
 
At the Beta Alpha Psi USYD Chapter, we have a dedicated team of executives who not only serve to organise and provide events for our members but also act as a voice for the Oceania Chapters amongst the broader Beta Alpha Psi International Organisation.

Kevin Yu
Co-President
Kevin is in his third year of a Bcom/LLB degree, majoring in Business Information Systems. Since joining BAP in 2024, Kevin has helped facilitate flagship events such as the McKinsey Case Comp, Private Markets Evening and the inaugural BAP newsletter. In 2025 as general manager, he competed in the Impacting Connections division at Best Practices in Melbourne and Project Run with It in San Antonio Texas, devising efficient solutions for non-for-profits. As Co-President, Kevin hopes to further BAP’s mission of providing value for students by strengthening industry engagement and delivering high-impact professional development events. Outside of university, Kevin is an avid volleyball player, having represented Australia on two international tours. He also loves a game of pool and is always down to play!

Hunter McPherson

Co-President

Hunter is in his third year of a BCom/BAdv degree majoring in Finance and Economics. Hunter joined BAP at the beginning of his studies and played a large role in facilitating Best Practice initiatives like the Accounting Careers Expo. Additionally he led last year's submission to the EY Leadership award. As a Co-President Hunter hopes to continue Beta Alpha Psi’s growth from 2025 and continue to deliver professional and service events to benefit the wider business school. Originally from New Zealand, Hunter loves surfing and rugby.

Abigail Mills
General Manager

Abigail is in her third year of a BCom/BAdv degree majoring in Finance and Data Analytics.

Kasper Clowes

Sponsorships Director

Kasper is in his third year of studying a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Business Analytics. He currently serves as Sponsorship Director, working closely with corporate partners to strengthen professional engagement within the society. He looks forward to collaborating on initiatives and events that promote innovation and continued progress within the chapter. Outside of university, Kasper enjoys watching basketball and snorkelling.

Tony Lu
Sponsorships Director
Tony Lu is a penultimate-year Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Sydney. Since joining Beta Alpha Psi, Tony has led several of the society’s flagship initiatives, including the inaugural Accounting Careers Expo, the McKinsey Case Competition, the inaugural Graduate and Intern Panel, the MYOB industry event, and the inaugural Private Markets Evening. As Sponsorships Director, Tony is responsible for building and maintaining industry partnerships that support high-quality professional development opportunities for members. In 2025, he represented BAP at Best Practices in Melbourne and Texas. Tony aims to strengthen BAP’s industry relationships and continue delivering practical, high-impact events that connect students with leading firms. He is currently on exchange at UC Berkeley and enjoys rowing, travelling, and good movies.

Sean Trew

Sponsorships Director

Sean is in his third year of studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Science, majoring in Finance and Geology with a minor in Financial Economics, as a Dalyell Scholar at USYD. He is the Sponsorships Director and has been involved in liaising with corporate sponsors to drive professional engagement for the society. Having enjoyed attending BAP events such as the Accounting Expo and Private Markets Evening, he looks forward to helping organize more high-impact events in the future. Sean is currently taking part in the Deloitte Best Practices competition and looks forward to presenting a proposal on Sustainability best practices. Aside from university, Sean likes to surf and train at the gym, however also loves to stay in and watch a good movie.

Chloe Tran
Events and Competitions Director
Chloe is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science, majoring in Finance and Computer Science. Prior to stepping into her current role, Chloe helped coordinate impactful professional development events and competitions, while also supporting promotional and marketing initiatives that enhanced student engagement and event reach. As Events and Competitions Director, Chloe is passionate about delivering meaningful opportunities that connect students with industry professionals and foster both technical and professional skill development. She is particularly interested in the intersection of finance and technology, with a focus on private markets and data-driven innovation within financial services. Outside of university, Chloe enjoys filmmaking and pickleball.

Sebastian Wong

Events and Competitions Director

Seb is in his third year, studying a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Accounting. He had previously joined BAP in 2025 as a subcommittee member in the marketing team, designing posters for professional events and co-authoring the BAP x McKinsey 2025 Case Competition. As a Director of Events and Competitions for 2026, Seb is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for students to connect with industry leaders, develop both technical and interpersonal skills, and gain clarity around prospective career pathways. Outside of university, Seb enjoys playing tennis, golf (very poorly) and visiting different cafes with mates.

Marian Unay
Communications Director
Marian is in her second year of a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Arts degree at USYD, majoring in Finance and International Relations, with a minor in Accounting as a Dalyell Scholar. She is currently a Communications Director at BAP, spearheading the launch and editorial direction of the newsletter. Having previously been an Events & Competitions subcommittee member, she enjoys the fast-paced nature of student life and the challenge of translating complex financial concepts into engaging content. Beyond university, Marian likes to bake (specifically sourdough) and document her life through film and journaling.

Aiden Pascoe

Communications Director

Aiden is in his second year of a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Advanced Studies, majoring in Finance and Business Analytics. As Communications Director at BAP he manages, researches and writes for the BAP Market Minutes amongst other editorial pieces. Aiden’s experience within the Events and Competition Subcommittee and producing the 2025 Mckinsey Case Competition helped him form a strong understanding for the coordination and collaboration required to run student organisations which he looks forward to bringing to his new role. Beyond BAP Aiden enjoys exercising and all things basketball (which he’s more than happy to talk about).

Cara Cuzzocrea
Marketing Director
Cara is in her second year of studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Advanced Studies, majoring in Finance and Business Law at USYD. She currently serves as Marketing Director at BAP, where she leads social media initiatives and creative projects to strengthen the society’s visibility, engagement and mission. Having previously been a Sponsorships Subcommittee member in 2025, Cara brings a strong understanding of the society’s operations and is driven to showcase the hard work, growth, and potential of its members through effective and purposeful marketing. Outside of university, Cara enjoys playing tennis, is keen to get into golf, and loves spending time reading.

Amelia Pok

Communications Director

Amelia is a third-year Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science student at the University of Sydney, majoring in Accounting and Data Science. Since joining Beta Alpha Psi in 2024, she has played an active role in organising internal events, pitching sustainable initiatives, volunteering with the USU Food Hub, and co-hosting the popular BAP Road Trip. Now serving as Marketing Director, Amelia leads the society’s social media strategy and creative initiatives, driving stronger engagement and enhancing BAP’s brand presence across platforms. She has initiated and planned high-impact events, including the Financial Literacy Workshop. She has also represented the chapter in the Beta Alpha Psi Best Practices Competition, competing in the Impacting the Community division. Her team achieved Second Place in Melbourne and went on to present at the international level in San Antonio, Texas. Outside of BAP, Amelia enjoys beach days, snorkelling, picnics, arts and music.

Quan Gan
Faculty Advisor 2024 - Current
Quan teaches finance courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has received Dean’s Citation of Teaching and Education Innovation grants several times. He has scholarly publications in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, and Real Estate Economics. He was the faculty advisor to USYD's CFA research challenge teams (2022 Asia-Pacific and 2023 global champions). He won the Student Life Enhancement Award in 2023 and the USS Teaching Award in 2024. In his early life, he worked in the IT sector in Silicon Valley (Santa Clara), California, and in the financial industry in Zurich. The Faculty Advisor’s mission is to nurture the chapter, enhance the chapter’s influence in Oceania, lead the team to attend Beta Alpha Psi’s mid-year and annual meetings, participate (and win) in challenges and competitions, build multi-disciplinary alumni networks, and guide the team to forge internal and external alliances.

Jeff Brown

Co-Chair

After a successful role as President in 2019, and Co-Chair since 2020, Jeff will be continuing his work with Beta Alpha Psi as a Co-Chair in 2026. In 2020, Jeff represented Australia in the Global CFA Institute Research Challenge Team, and became the first Australian team to ever win the competition as world champions. Jeff proudly flies the BAP flag everywhere he goes. He is a very down to earth and caring person, and is always free to have a chat about absolutely anything. Jeff studied a peculiar combination of Physics, Economics and Finance - ask him why! Jeff works for a global investment fund manager based out of Sydney. He is also passionate about analytical & scientific communication in the workforce, along with financial literacy for all. Say hi to Jeff and he will gladly show you yet another opportunity on offer!

Matthew Selkrig
Co-Chair
After serving as President in 2025, Matthew remains actively involved with BAP as Chair. Since joining, he has helped lead the chapter’s flagship initiatives — from organising McKinsey case competitions to representing USYD at regional and global meetings across ANZ and the US. Matthew’s proudest achievement was securing Platinum Chapter Status for a tenth consecutive year - the longest streak of any chapter globally. But his favourite memories were the roadtrips, bonding nights, and travelling together to meetings, building lifelong friendships along the way. Outside of BAP, Matthew was awarded the Order of Australia Association Foundation Scholarship and is pursuing a career in finance, having recently completed an internship with Macquarie Capital’s Infrastructure Investment Banking team. A passionate sports fan, he supports Tottenham and McLaren and regularly attends Sydney Roosters and Swans matches. As a proud BAP alum, Matthew loves staying involved and supporting the next generation of members.
